Tranquility Trail

The Guidance Center proudly dedicated its Tranquility Trail to the Galetto Family Foundation in November 2016. This 1-mile trail through the woods surrounding the Center on Camel Road was cleared and marked for use by the center’s consumers and employees offering them the opportunity for healthy outdoor activity that “quiets the brain and improves mood.” (Stanford University). The trail was the vision of Jane and Peter Galetto from Millville, NJ, who were honored as The Guidance Center’s Distinguished Community Leaders in 2015 for their many accomplishments in the community making it a better place to live for others through their leadership, volunteerism, and advocacy.

Tranquility Pond

A peaceful Tranquility Pond is located at the core of The Guidance Center’s main complex on Carmel Road. It was built and dedicated to the Kejzman family of Vineland, NJ, and in memory of Harry Kejzman, an outstanding community leader who passed away in 1996. The family was recognized as The Guidance Center’s Mental Health Distinguished Community Leaders in 2016 for their many accomplishments in economic development in the area along with their work supporting health and education. The Tranquility Pond helps enhance The Guidance Center property, offering the benefits of the outdoors and the tranquility of the running water rock garden.

Tranquility Corner

The Guidance Center’s Tranquility Corner is dedicated to Suzy and Larry Merighi of Vineland, NJ. The corner includes a paver patio with two benches surrounded by holly berry bushes and is located at the entrance of the administrative building at the Center’s mental health agency complex on Carmel Road in Millville. Suzy and Larry Merighi were honored by The Guidance Center as Mental Health Distinguished Community Leaders in 2017, for their dedicated work supporting education, the arts, healthcare and the environment in our local and regional community. The Tranquility Corner provides a peaceful seating space where individuals in care and staff members enjoy the benefits of the outdoors.
